Valentines Day Special : Ninz’s Top Naija Love songs- Part 1

love

Love is a beautiful thing !! I am a hopeless romantic and love everything to do with love and i feel no way about letting my loved ones know how i feel all the time. Lool that is how i have earned myself the nickname of “Drake: within my circle . There is no greater feeling than being loved and those that get to experience love in any form are truly blessed.

Yesterday, i had the honour of accompanying my friend wedding dress shopping and just speaking to her about her pending nuptials reminded me just how great love is.  The way she smiled as she tried on each dress , she looked stunning. You can follow her journey to married life here .

The season of love and all the wedding planning has inspired me to share my top love songs… Naija style 😀 Being the romantic sap that i am , it is a very long list lool. I have therefore broken the list down in to 3 parts and will share a selection of tracks everyday until valentines day .

p.s I am a firm believer in letting your loved ones know how appreciated they are 365 days of the year not just on Feb 14th , however that is NO excuse to not doing something special for your significant other / loved ones on Friday 😛 . So feel free to draw some inspiration from the songs below .

Part 1

Praiz – I Love You

This song is a strong contender for my first dance at my wedding , the song is truly beautiful . Praiz’s voice is just amazing and you can’t help but want to call up your boo and tell them how you feel after you listen to this song.

Tuface – True Love

My favourite song off the Grass to Grace album , in fact it is one of my favourite Tuface songs .  This is another song on my wedding playlist . Tuface sings about looking for his true love , we can all easily relate .. ” Looking for someone to show me true love “.

Timi Dakalo – Love Song

‘ It’s been 70 lonely nights , 70 lonely days since you went away… So write me a love song , send me a letter , tell me you love me and i will be okay ‘ . Timi narrates how he just wants to hear from his runaway love *wipes tear* , this song gets me every time

Jesse Jagz ft Brymo – L.O.V.E

This song first introduced me to the sultry sounds of Brymo . Jesse and Brymo express how much they love their boo . I used to play this song every night for about 6 months straight . The chorus is everything !

Tiwa Savage ft Leo wonder – ife wa Gbono

Ife we gbono which means our” love is hot” , was an instant hit for me . The song is cute and the video has a village love story yaaaay ! \(^_^)/

M.I ft Waje – One Naira

Waje , waje .. When she performed this song live , I was blown away . She was fresh off the plane and her voice was still amazing . This song is all about loving your boo even though they may have nothing . You will always be there !

Banky W – Lowkey

Mr Doubleyou sings a sweet melody of keeping your relationship lowkey , especially from awon jeloous smellos . ” They want me to let you go , but i no gree

Flavour ft Tiwa Savage – Oyi remix

My jellof rice , hoy you dey do today ooo” ? Only flavour can call you a jellof rice and make you swoon .. This song is too sweet ooo

Stay tuned for Part 2 !!

Love ,

Ninz
